All 7 (SEVEN) Aston Villa goals v Liverpool - Aston Villa 7 Liverpool 2 - 2020 - Book Cover Poster - Football Gift (Various Sizes)
This print is the perfect gift for any Aston Villa fan as an iconic football moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.
This version depicts all seven Villa goals in a crazy evening at Villa Park in 2020. Aston Villa took on the all conquering current League Champions, Liverpool. The Reds were favourites but were blown away by a sensational Villa performance.
The first goal came in the fourth minute as Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian sloppily gifted the ball to Jack Grealish who set up Ollie Watkins for his first of the day. Watkins smashed home his second in the 22nd minute before Mohamed Salah pulled one back for the Champions. John McGinn's 35th minute deflected strike put Villa 3-1 up before Watkins completed a hat-trick with a neat header in the 39th minute. Villa went into the half time break with an astonishing 4-1 lead.
Just after half time Ross Barkley, on his debut, saw his shot deflect and loop into the Liverpool goal before Salah again pulled one back, the score now 5-2 for those who have lost track! All that was left was for Villa captain Jack Grealish to put the icing (and a cherry) on the cake with a brace in the 66th and 75th minutes to make it 7-2 to the home side. On an unforgettable day, Villa became the first team to score seven goals against Liverpool since 1963 and continue their best start to a top flight campaign since 1962.
