Fulham had already been promoted to the Premier League after an amazing season under Marco Silva. A win against Luton Town at home would seal the title for The Cottagers (a first league title in 21 years).
When Tom Cairney fired home in the 29th minute it was Fulham's 100th goal of the season and more were to follow. Kenny Tete fired home from long range to make it 2-0 at half time before a second half blitz. Goals from Fabio Carvalho, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Bobby Decordova-Reid, Jean-Michael Seri and Mitrovic again completed a 7-0 win. Mitrovic with his 43rd goal of the season broke the long standing record for goals scored in a Championship season.
