This edition depicts the late extra time winner scored by Amad Diallo for Manchester United against Liverpool in the FA Cup Quarter Final 2024.
On a dramatic day at Old Trafford the home side took an early lead through Scott McTominay. Liverpool however scored two quick goals from Mac Allister and Sarah just before half time to take a 2-1 lead.
United hung on in the second half and in the 87th minute Antony equalised before Marcus Rashford squandered a great chance to snatch victory at the death.
The game went into extra time and the visitors took the lead again when Harvey Elliott's deflected shot flew in. United looked down and out but in the 112th minute Rashford made amends for his earlier miss to level the game at 3-3.
The match looked set for penalties when in the 121st minute Diallo dispossessed Liverpool just outside the United area and fed Garnacho. The young Argentinian broke forward and slipped the ball back to Diallo who shot across the goalkeeper and in off the far post. The Stratford End erupted as United had snatched a win from the jaws of defeat and ended their rivals hopes of a quadruple.
The title of the poster 'A comeback of monumental proportions' is taken from the live ITV Sport commentary.
