The moment illustrated is the winning run hit by Ben Stokes to win the T20 World Cup against Pakistan at the MCG in Melbourne, Australia.
Having battled their way to the Final after an early shock defeat to Ireland in the group stages England came into the game with confidence after an impressive win over India in the Semi Final. Pakistan had snuck through to the Semis after South Africa stumbled to a shock defeat to the Netherlands and how they took advantage. Pakistan won the must win group game against Bangladesh and dominated the much fancied New Zealand in the Semi Final.
Pakistan batted first and managed 137-8 with Player of the Match (and Player of the Tournament!) Sam Curran impressing with 3 wickets from 4 overs for only 12 runs. England felt confident that they could chase down the total. However Pakistan bowled magnificently and reduced England to 45 - 3 before England steadied the ship with Ben Stokes and Harry Brook at the crease. Brook was dismissed for 20 and England were 84 - 4. Moeen Ali then played a brilliant counter attack with 19 runs off 13 balls to put England in the driving seat. Ali fell in the 18th over with England requiring 6 more runs for victory. With the final ball of the over it was England's talisman Stokes who hit the ball into the leg side for a famous win.
Captain Jos Buttler lifted the trophy as England were crowned T20 World Champions for the second time in their history whilst also being the reigning 50 over ODI World Champions, the first team to hold both the men's 20 and 50-over world titles.
The title of the poster 'The Kings of White Ball Cricket' is taken from the live Sky Sports commentary by Nasser Hussain.
