This print is the perfect gift for any Brazil football fan as an iconic football moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.
This poster illustrates the stunning free kick by Roberto Carlos in Le Tournoi in 1997. The opening game of the tournament was between the hosts France and Brazil. It ended 1-1 and will always be remembered for the amazing goal scored in the 21st minute.
Brazil had a free kick 40 yards from goal and Roberto Carlos placed the ball down and walked back to the edge of the centre circle to begin his long run up. What followed was a shot that defies physics. The strike at first seems to be going wide by some distance until a late swerve brings it around and into the net past a dumb struck Fabian Barthez.
The title of the book “El Hombre Bala” translates as “The Bullet Man” and is the nickname Roberto Carlos was known by due to his powerful strike.
Each poster will be printed, lovingly wrapped and securely sealed into a postal tube before being safely delivered to your door!
PLEASE NOTE: The poster can be resized to any measurement, please contact me to discuss your requirements.
