This edition depicts the dramatic 92nd minute winner scored by Kaoru Mitoma against Liverpool for Brighton and Hove Albion in the 2023 FA Cup Fourth Round.
On a dramatic afternoon at the Amex the hosts fell behind to a Harvey Elliott goal in the 30th minute. Before half time Brighton had equalised when Tariq Lamptey's shot deflected off Lewis Dunk to fly into the back of the net. An enthralling second half followed with the home side pushing for a winner. As the game headed into injury time it looked as though a replay at Anfield was on the cards.
However in the 92nd minute Pervis Estupiñán received the ball at the far post and he played a looping cross back across goal. Kaoru Mitoma took the ball down and then flicked the ball back across himself, which dummied three Liverpool players, before striking home past Alisson for the knockout goal. The Amex erupted and then had to endure a VAR check for a possible offsided, before celebrating again when the goal was given.
The Seagulls had knocked out the FA Cup holders Liverpool and were in the hat for the Fifth Round.
