This design illustrates the amazing equalising goal scored by Manchester United captain Bryan Robson in an FA Cup Semi Final Replay in 1985. The match was between Man Utd and Liverpool after both teams had fought out a 2 - 2 draw at Goodison Park in the first game.
On a dramatic evening at Maine Road, Liverpool took a first half lead when United's Paul McGrath headed into his own net. Just after half time Robson scored his wonder goal. Picking the ball up on the half way line Robson exchanged a one-two with Gordon Strachan before powering toward the Liverpool area. As Mark Lawrenson was about to make a tackle, Robson unleashed a ferocious 25 yard shot past the despairing Bruce Grobbelaar. United were level and 12 minutes later would take the lead when Mark Hughes fired home following good work from Strachan.
United hung on for a famous 2 - 1 victory and headed to Wembley to face Everton in the FA Cup Final.
