James Hanson then restored Gloucester's lead before Blaine Scully scored yet another try for Cardiff to bring the Welsh side to within two points, 30 - 28. In a remarkable match their was to be one final twist as the Blues were awarded a penalty with seconds remaining. Gareth Anscombe stepped up and slotted home the penalty to snatch victory for the Cardiff Blues 30 - 31.
