This print is the perfect gift for any Argentina football fan as an iconic football moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.
This edition illustrates a goal that is quite often called 'The Goal of the Century'. Diego Maradona scored one of the greatest individual goals ever in a World Cup Quarter Final for Argentina against England.
On a day of high drama in the Estadio Azteca, Mexico City, Maradona would single handedly win the match for Argentina. The first goal, famously known as 'The Hand of God', was scored when Maradona jumped with England goalkeeper Peter Shilton and punched the ball into the net. Amazingly the referee and linesman missed the foul and allowed the goal. England protested but trailed and four minutes later were 2-0 down.
Maradona picked the ball up near the half way line and then slalomed between numerous England players before rounding the keeper and slotting home. It was a goal of skill, pace, balance and genius. England grabbed a late consolation when Gary Lineker netted but the day belonged to Argentina and their talisman Diego Armando Maradona.
Each poster will be printed, lovingly wrapped and securely sealed into a postal tube before being safely delivered to your door!
