Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses had the hopes of the nation on their shoulders with the tournament being played in England. The Three Lions started with a narrow 1-0 win over Austria in Manchester before thumping Norway 8-0 in Brighton. The final group game saw England defeat Northern Ireland 5-0 in Southampton.
England travelled once again to Brighton for a tough Quarter-Final against Spain. The Lionesses got over the line with a 2-1 extra-time victory following a stunning strike from Georgia Stanway.
The Semi-Final in Sheffield was a comprehensive 4-0 win over Sweden. The Final at Wembley was against a familiar opponent, Germany. The game finished 1-1 and headed into extra-time with Chloe Kelly grabbing the winner in the 110th minute.
