This design illustrates the fantastic try scored by England’s Raffi Quirke against the World Champions South Africa in 2021.
In a dramatic encounter at Twickenham the hosts edged the match by one point, 27 - 26 with a last minute penalty from Marcus Smith.
The game started with England soaring into a 17 - 6 first half lead with trys from Manu Tuilagi and Freddie Steward. In the second half South Africa fought back and took the lead 17 - 18 in the 64th minute.
England hit back instantly with Joe Marchant breaking through the Boks defence and releasing Quirke to sprint home. England had regained the lead once more 24 - 18.
Back came South Africa and they worked the ball across the pitch for Makazole Mapimpi to score a try before Frans Steyn's penalty gave the visitors a 24 - 26 lead.
The final drama unfolded as England won a last minute penalty in front of the posts. With only 24 seconds left on the clock Marcus Smith held his nerve and slotted the kick home to give England the narrowest of wins and avenge the World Cup Final defeat of 2019.
