Coventry went into the final as underdogs but got off to a great start when Gael Bigirimana struck to make it 1-0 to the Sky Blues. Early in the second half George Thomas struck a wonderful right-footed half volley from the edge of the area to double the lead. The U's responded when Liam Sercombe shot home, but City held on to lift the trophy.
