Paolo Di Canio volley - West Ham v Wimbledon - Premier League 2000 (UK and US sizes available)
An iconic football moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.
This version depicts the astounding volley by the irrepressible Paolo Di Canio for West Ham United v Wimbledon in 2000. Di Canio scored many classic goals for the Hammers but this bullet is regarded as his finest. Trevor Sinclair played a cross field ball to the far side of the Wimbledon penalty area and Di Canio jumped with both feet of the floor and powered a right foot volley into the net.
The goal prompted Andy Gray (co-commentator on Sky) to say “Take a bow son” and main Sky commentator Martin Tyler to state that it was “A moment of striking perfection” which I thought was fitting for the title of the book.
Each poster will be posted in a sturdy postal tube to ensure safe delivery to your home.
