This version depicts the simply spectacular goal from Leeds United’s Ghanaian striker, Tony Yeboah, in 1995. In this season Yeboah scored a few screamers and I was going to illustrate his volley against Liverpool at Elland Road (maybe another day). However on watching the goals again I decided on his amazing finish against Wimbledon at Selhurst Park. Yeboah controls a high ball with his chest, then his knee before gliding past a defender and unleashing a venomous shot with his right foot into the goal from 20 yards. Goal of the Season! The match ended in a 4-2 win for Leeds and Yeboah scored a hat-trick.

The title of the book 'Oh look at that… that is wonderful' is taken from the BBC commentary by the legendary Barry Davies.
