On a night of unbearable drama Rangers started the game trailing 1-0 from the first leg. In front of a raucous home crowd The Gers stormed into a 2-0 lead on the night and a 2-1 lead overall with goals from James Tavernier and Glen Kamara. In the 70th minute Christopher Nkunku pulled a goal back for the visitors to level the tie. Then in the 80th minute the moment all Rangers fans had dreamed became a reality. Ryan Kent's looping cross nearly dropped in and was half cleared to John Lundstram who struck home. Glasgow Rangers held on for a 3-2 win on aggregate and booked a trip to Sevilla for the Europa League Final against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The title of the book “There's Lundstraaaaaaam!” is taken from the live BT Sports commentary.
