Goal Commentary Poster - Foot like a Traction Engine - Soccer Gift - Television Comedy Series Poster - Unofficial Illustrated Print - Football Gift - Various Sizes
This design is of my usual football posters with a twist. In 1994 a BBC2 comedy series called 'The Day Today' hit our screens and introduced many to a sports presenter who would become a TV legend. The rest is history, but a certain World Cup Countdown sketch has always had me in stitches ever since.
This version depicts the fantastic long range strike by Belgium star Enzo Scifo against Uruguay in a 3-1 win for The Red Devils at the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
The title of the book “Sh-t! Did you see that? He must have a foot like a traction engine” is taken from the legendary commentary.
