This version illustrates the two penalties converted by Gavan Holohan for League Two Grimsby Town against Premier League Southampton. The Mariners shocked the Saints at St Mary's with a 2-1 win in the FA Cup Fifth Round in 2023.
Two penalties either side of half time saw Grimsby two goals up and heading for a major FA Cup shock. Southampton pulled one back in the 65th minute when Duje Caleta-Car volleyed home. Then late in the match Theo Walcott thought he had equalised only for it to be disallowed for offside.
The 4,000-strong travelling fans celebrated wildly at the full time whistle as they reached the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup for the first time in 84 years.
The title of the book 'The titanic toppling of the top tier' is taken from the live ITV commentary as the full time whistle blew.
