Irelands first ever series win in New Zealand is commemorated with this illustration of the brilliant Hugo Keenan try in the deciding Test in Wellington. On a day no Irish fan will forget the boys in green stunned the Rugby world with a commanding 22 - 32 win to seal the series against the formidable All Blacks.
Ireland roared into a 19 point lead at half time with an early try from Josh van der Flier followed by Keenan's score and finally Robbie Henshaw crossed to give Ireland a 22 - 3 lead at the break.
The All Blacks struck back in the second half scoring two try's and reducing the arrears to 5 points. Johnny Sexton added valuable points before New Zealand ran in their third try to set up a grand stand finish. The visitors clinched the match when Rob Herring broke off a rolling maul to stretch across the line for Ireland's fourth try in the 65th minute.
As the ball was kicked into touch and the final whistle blew all of Ireland celebrated a truly monumental series win.
