Irelands first ever away win in New Zealand is celebrated with this illustration of the first Andrew Porter try in the Second Test in Dunedin. After losing the First Test 42-19 in Auckland, Ireland had to get a result to keep the series alive.
The try illustrated opened the scoring in the third minute of a crazy match in which the All Blacks were reduced to 14 men on the half hour when Angus Ta'avao was sent off for a horrific head clash. The ball was played in front of the posts from Jamison Gibson-Park to Jonathan Sexton who fed the onrushing Andrew Porter who crashed between two New Zealand players to power his way over the line, with Quinn Tupaea being dragged along with him!
An inspired Ireland led at half time 10 - 7 before stretching there lead in the second half with another try from Porter and Johnny Sexton adding the extra points on a historic day for the boys in green.
The title of the book 'New Zealand 12 Ireland 23' is the final score of the match which levelled the series 1 - 1 with the decider to be played in Wellington.
Each poster will be printed, lovingly wrapped and securely sealed into a postal tube before being safely delivered to your door!
