I am creating a series of posters in a range called “Movie Classics”. The theme (excuse the pun!) is showing the sheet music of the main title in an illustrative way and celebrating the brilliant composers behind many of the big screens great motion pictures.
This edition features the theme by Tomoyasu Hotei for the Quentin Tarantino movie Kill Bill. The track illustrated is ‘Battle Without Honor or Humanity’.
Depicting the famous final showdown from Kill Bill: Volume 1, the sheet music helps frame the scene at The House of Blue Leaves. The illustration shows The Bride facing O-Ren Ishii with their Hattori Hanzo samurai swords as snow falls in the Japanese garden.
