Marcus Rashford thought he had made it 2-0 minutes later only for a late offside flag on Garnacho who had played the England striker in.
United only had to wait until the 39th minute for the second goal as Rashford played a beautiful cross field ball to Garnacho. The Argentinian headed toward the penalty area before passing to Bruno Fernandes who played a sublime first time no-look pass between two defenders for the onrushing Kobbie Mainoo to curl home. It was a stunning goal that stunned their City rivals.
Man City took the game to United in the second half and managed a consolation goal in the 87th minute through Jeremy Doku. United managed by Erik ten Hag held on for a famous win against their rivals and the red half of Wembley celebrated as the final whistle blew.
