On a perfect day for the red side of North London, Arsenal quickly gained control of the game when a Bukayo Saka cross come shot was palmed into his own net by Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. It was only a matter of time before the league leaders struck again and Thomas Partey almost doubled the lead with a ferocious volley that smacked the post. In the 36th minute Martin Ødegaard did make it 2-0 when he struck home from long range. The job was done and Arsenal kept the hosts at bay for the rest of the match to claim an impressive win the North London derby.
