This print is the perfect gift for any New Zealand cricket fan as an iconic cricket moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.
This edition depicts the final wicket on day five of the Second Test between New Zealand and England in Wellington. The home side trailed 1-0 in the two Test series and had been made to follow on after being bowled out for 209 chasing England's first innings score of 435. New Zealand made 483 in the second innings setting England 258 to win the match and take the series.
England slipped to 80 - 5 before recovering to 201 before another mini collapse of 3 - 14. When Ben Foakes was caught by Neil Wagner for 35, England were 251 - 9 and still needed 7 runs for the victory. Jack Leach ran one, James Anderson smashed a four and England only needed 2 runs for the win.
Then the moment arrived… Wagner bowled a leg side delivery that Anderson edged behind to the diving Tom Blundell. New Zealand had won the Test match by 1 run! The Basin Reserve erupted and New Zealand become only the second team to win a Test Match by a single run - the other being the West Indies against Australia in 1993.
Each poster will be posted in a sturdy postal tube to ensure safe delivery to your home.
