This print is the perfect gift for any Manchester United fan as an iconic football moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.
This design illustrates the wonder strike by Norman Whiteside to win the 1985 FA Cup Final for Manchester United. The match was between Manchester United and holders Everton, with the Merseyside team favourites. In the 78th minute United defender Kevin Moran fouled Peter Reid and was sent off with the game goaless. Moran become the first player to be dismissed in an FA Cup Final.
The match went into extra time and with 10 minutes remaining Mark Hughes played a wonderful through ball with the outside of his boot to Whiteside on the right wing. The Northern Irish striker dribbled to the edge of the area before stepping-over the ball and curling a beautiful shot around defender Pat van den Hauwe and out of the reach of Neville Southall in the Blues goal. It proved to be the winner and one of the most iconic FA Cup Final goals.
The title 'A goal out of nothing' is taken from the live BBC commentary by John Motson
