As the clock ticked into the red Alex Waller stretched out his hand beneath a pile of players at the try line for the winner. It took three agonising minutes for Graham Hughes, the television match official, to confirm the try. The final score was 20 - 24 to the Saints as they lifted their first ever Premiership title.

The title of the book 'JP… You may award the try' are the words of the television match official as he gave the match winning try.
