This version depicts a stunning overhead kick by QPR's Trevor Sinclair. It was scored in an FA Cup game at Loftus Road against Barnsley in which QPR ran out 3-2 winners. The game however will always be remembered for a piece of acrobatic genius by the dreadlocked Sinclair. A high looping ball was played in from the right wing and Sinclair, on the edge of the area, with his back to goal, somehow with an audacious overhead kick unleashed a missile of a shot that thundered into the back of the Barnsley net. The goal made it 3-1 to the hoops and went on to win 'Goal of the Season'.

The title of the book “Acrobatic, Gymnastic and Quite Astonishing” is taken from the brilliant commentary by John Motson for BBC's Match of the Day.
