With only two minutes left O'Gara sent a perfect kick between the posts to give Ireland a 15 - 17 lead. With time on the clock Wales stormed upfield and with the last kick of the game just missed with a long range penalty, much to the relief of the travelling fans in green. After a long 61 year wait, Ireland were finally crowned Grand Slam champions.
