Rugby Poster - Michael Lynagh Penalty - England 6 Australia 12 - World Cup Final 1991 - Book Cover Print - Rugby Fan Decor (Various Sizes)
An iconic Rugby moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.
This edition illustrates the final penalty that sealed a first World Cup win for Australia. The win was made extra special as they defeated England at Twickenham to lift the Webb Ellis trophy.
The Wallabies led 9 - 0 at half time thanks to a Lynagh penalty and the only try of the game scored by prop Tony Daly.
Jonathan Webb converted a penalty just after the hour mark only for Lynagh to slot a long range penalty (illustrated) after 65 minutes to give Australia a 12- 3 lead. Webb pulled three points back after a controversial decision not to award a penalty try to England. The home side couldn't score again and the Australians celebrated becoming World Champions for the very first time.
The title of the book 'England 6 Australia 12' is the final scoreline.
Each poster will be posted in a sturdy postal tube to ensure safe delivery to your home.
