It proved to be a decisive Welsh victory as the hosts extended their unbeaten run to 14 matches in a rain soaked Cardiff. The early try set the tone as Gareth Anscombe superbly chipped a ball over the Irish defence for Parkes to take in and power over the try line. Wales went on to win 25 - 7 and become Grand Slam winners for the 12th time.
