In the 64th minute Bolton regained the lead when Kyle Wootton was unfortunate to put the ball into his own net. The Trotters then took complete control of the game in the 81st minute. Cyrus Christie played a long ball into the area for George Johnston to head back toward the penalty spot. John McAtee rose highest to nod the ball forward for Sam Dalby to spectacularly volley a scissor kick home.
In the final moments County defender Josh Dacres-Cogley was sent off for pulling Ibrahim Cissoko's hair in the penalty area. Rúben Rodrigues slotted home the penalty to put the finishing touches to a perfect day for Bolton Wanderers.
