However Poland equalised early in the second half with an absolute screamer from Kamil Piatkowski. The game was locked at 1-1 and Scotland looked destined to be relegated from the top group of the Nations League. In the 92nd minute with only two minutes of injury time remaining John Souttar curled a beautiful cross to the far post for the onrushing Robertson to power a bullet header off the post and in!

Scotland had snatched a vital late victory and qualified for the Nations League Play-Offs in the Spring of 2025.
