The winner was great but the opening goal in the 62nd minute was pure GENIUS! 40 yards from goal Le Tissier controlled a pass from Iain Dowie (which was just behind him) with his heel before flicking the ball around the oncoming Barry Venison. As Le Tissier ran towards the penalty area he flicked the ball high above Kevin Scott's head and then stroked the ball past goalkeeper Mike Hooper on the volley.

The title of the book “Le God” is simply the nickname that all Saints fans remember this footballing genius by.
