This print is the perfect gift for any Southampton fan as an iconic football moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.
This version depicts the last minute header scored by José Fonte for Southampton against Brighton and Hove Albion. In a top of the table match Saints had trailed at half time when Ashley Barnes gave the hosts the lead. Southampton struck late when David Connolly levelled in the 84th minute before the dramatic 89th minute winner from Fonte.
The ball was played into the box by goalkeeper Kelvin Davis from his own half and Fonte rose highest at the far post to loop a header into the far corner and in (Rickie Lambert made 100% sure by bundling the ball into the net, although it had already crossed the line).
Nigel Adkins' Saints had snatched a memorable win at the Withdean Stadium (the first defeat at home that season for the Seagulls) and would battle Brighton for the League One title. Brighton eventually finished as champions with Saints finishing three points behind in second with both teams promoted to the Championship.
Each poster will be printed, lovingly wrapped and securely sealed into a postal tube before being safely delivered to your door!
