This edition depicts the last ever goal to be scored at the Goldstone Ground on the penultimate game of the 1996/97 season. Brighton needed a miracle to avoid relegation from the Third Division. Rooted to the bottom of the league in December and following a 2 point deduction they sacked manager Jimmy Case and replaced him with the unknown Steve Gritt. Results slowly improved but the Seagulls still needed to beat Doncaster Rovers in their final ever home match at the Goldstone Ground and then either win or draw away at Hereford United in the final game.

On a dramatic day on the 26th April 1997 at a sold out Goldstone Ground both teams had a player sent off in the 18th minute after a huge fight. In the second half the breakthrough finally came when in the 67th minute Mark Morris' header came back off the bar for the onrushing Stuart Storer to smash home. Brighton held on for a priceless 1-0 win and then managed a 1-1 draw against Hereford United to secure survival and send Hereford down.

The title of the book 'Storerrrrrrr!' is taken from the live match day commentary.
