I am creating a series of posters in a range called “Movie Classics”. The theme (excuse the pun!) is showing the sheet music of the main title in an illustrative way and celebrating the brilliant composers behind many of the big screens great motion pictures.

This edition illustrates the main theme from the 1982 Sci-Fi classic (and one of my personal favourite films of all time) E.T. by legendary composer and master of movie soundtracks John Williams. In yet another collaboration with director Steven Spielberg, Williams produced a truly heartwarming and exhilarating score. It was the fourth score in history to accomplish the feat of winning the Oscar, Golden Globe, Grammy and BAFTA (the previous two, Star Wars and Jaws, were also composed by Williams, who remains the only person to have won all awards for the same score more than once).
