I am creating a series of posters in a range called “Movie Classics”. The theme (excuse the pun!) is showing the sheet music of the main title in an illustrative way and celebrating the brilliant composers behind many of the big screens great motion pictures.
This edition illustrates the main theme from the John Hughes Christmas movie 'Home Alone' entitled 'Somewhere in my Memory' by the genius John Williams. Williams was brought in late by director Chris Columbus to score the film and produced some truly beautiful and festive themes.
In the movie 8-year old Kevin, played brilliantly by Macaulay Culkin, is mistakenly left at home alone as his family travel to Paris for the Christmas holidays. During his time alone Kevin heroically stops Harry and Marv a.k.a The Wet Bandits (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) from burgling his home by setting up ingenious booby traps around the house.
