I am creating a series of posters in a range called “Movie Classics”. The theme (excuse the pun!) is showing the sheet music of the main title in an illustrative way and celebrating the brilliant composers behind many of the big screens great motion pictures.

This edition features one of the iconic pieces of music created for The Matrix. The music shown is called Bullet-Time by Don Davis and is used in the famous scene where Neo dodges bullets in slow motion.

The Matrix was released in 1999 to huge success. The Sci-Fi classic created by the Wachowskis starred Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving as the unforgettable Agent Smith!

The original movies success led to the sequels The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions which were both released in 2003. After an eighteen year gap a fourth film The Matrix Resurrections was released.

The illustration shows the five-line staffs as trails of bullets as they fly above Neo leaning back to avoid them. The bullets are shattering the music notes and the bar lines are in the style of digital rain graphics used for the opening credits of the movie.

Please note that on the smaller print sizes available (Postcard, Card and A5) it may be harder to see the intricate detail of some of the elements in the design such as the digital rain etc.
