The Untouchables - Theme by Ennio Morricone - Movie Classics Poster - Sheet Music Art - Soundtrack Print - Movie Gift (Various Sizes)
I am creating a series of posters in a range called “Movie Classics”. The theme (excuse the pun!) is showing the sheet music of the main title in an illustrative way and celebrating the brilliant composers behind many of the big screens great motion pictures.
This edition is the first by one of my favourite composers, Ennio Morricone. The Italian is probably most famous for his stunning Spaghetti Western tunes (posters of these to come this year!), but this poster depicts the tense station steps scene from Brian De Palma's 'The Untouchables'.
The film follows Federal Agent Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner) on his quest to bring Chicago crime boss Al Capone (Robert De Niro) to justice during the mob wars of the 1920s. Ness assembles a team of crime fighters played by Sean Connery, Charles Martin Smith and Andy Garcia.
The scene illustrated is the shootout on the steps of Union Station in Chicago. As the action takes place a baby in a pram is rolling out of control down the stairs (De Palma's tribute to the famous Odessa Steps scene in Battleship Potemkin, a 1925 Soviet silent film directed by Sergei Eisenstein).
Each poster will be posted in a sturdy postal tube to ensure safe delivery to your home.
PLEASE NOTE: The poster can be resized to any measurement, please contact me to discuss your requirements.
