This print is the perfect gift for any Ireland Rugby fan as an iconic moment is captured in this classic book cover poster.

The moment illustrated is the late drop goal by Ronan O'Gara in the final match of the 2009 Six Nations Championship between Wales and Ireland in Cardiff. The Welsh needed a win to claim the triple crown and Ireland were attempting to win the elusive Grand Slam for the first time in 61 years. With only two minutes left O'Gara sent a perfect kick between the posts to give Ireland a 15 - 17 lead. With time on the clock Wales stormed upfield and with the last kick of the game just missed with a long range penalty, much to the relief of the travelling fans in green. After a long 61 year wait, Ireland were finally crowned Grand Slam champions.

The title of the book 'Wales 15 Ireland 17' is the final score on a historic day for Irish Rugby.

An alternative version is available with the title taken from the match day commentary. The title reads 'Grand Slam at stake… He’s got it!' and is available in this shop.

Each poster will be printed, lovingly wrapped and securely sealed into a postal tube before being safely delivered to your door!
