Regis took a long ball on his chest near the half way line before turning and powering towards goal. Regis brushed off challenges before unleashing a thunder bolt of a shot past the despairing dive of Chris Woods in the City goal. The game ended 1-0 to the Baggies and the BBC commentator was proved right as Regis' screamer was the Goal of the Season in 1982.

The title of the book “Oh! One of the Goals of the Season” is taken from the commentary by BBC Match of the Day.
