This version illustrates the late winning goal scored by Jordan Davies for Wrexham against Dover Athletic in 2022.
In a quite extraordinary game, Wrexham took a two goal lead with goals from Paul Mullin (6') and James Jones (20'). However the visitors struck back and the game was all square at half time after goals from George Wilkinson (22') and Alfie Pavey (28').
In a twelve minute burst in the second half Dover Athletic soared into a 5 - 2 lead with a hat-trick from Michael Gyasi (51', 54', 63'). Wrexham immediately hit back with two goals from Ollie Palmer (65', 69') to make the score 5 - 4 to Dover.
As the clock wound down it was the home side who equalised with a fantastic Jordan Davies free-kick in the 91st minute... the score now 5 - 5!
Nine minutes injury time had been added and it was in the 98th minute when Wrexham won a corner. One last chance to snatch an unlikely victory. The ball was whipped in by Luke Young and Ollie Palmer rose highest to flick the ball on to the back post for Jordan Davies to head in. The Racecourse Ground erupted as Wrexham had won a quite astonishing match coming from 5 - 2 down to 6 - 5 up!
